Everleaf x Black Swan, In Motion

A Pilates Morning at Miami Ironside On Sunday, November 23rd, from 9am to 1pm, we met at Miami Ironside with Pilates & Lattes Club for Black Swan: The Pilates Festival.
It was the kind of morning that didn’t ask for anything loud. No rush. No performance. No pressure to be “on.”
Just women arriving with coffee in hand, rolling out mats, stretching quietly, and easing into their bodies together. Miami Ironside felt right for that: open, creative, calm in its own way. A space that lets you slow down without feeling removed from the city.

What “Black Swan” Meant That Day

“Black Swan” wasn’t a look or a theme to dress up.It described the energy in the room.

Soft, but steady.
Strong, without tension.
Focused, without being rigid.

As the class began, conversations faded into breath. People adjusted straps, took a moment to settle, and let go of whatever they carried in with them. There was no sense of comparison, just a shared rhythm forming naturally.
The Pilates session was led by Gina Murray, whose approach felt grounded and intuitive. Her cues were clear, calm, and reassuring. Everyone moved differently, but together. You could feel the shift when bodies stopped “trying” and started trusting the movement.

Hanna: Postpartum, and Listening to Her Body

Hanna joined us quietly that morning.
A Yale graduate, a wellness podcast host, and a new mom, this was one of her first in-person movement experiences since giving birth.
After class, she spent time at our display area, running her hands over the fabrics, asking questions, taking it all in. Then she smiled and said something that felt both generous and precise:

“Your set is a piece of art, unbelievably comfortable to wear.”

As we talked more, she shared where she’s at right now. Postpartum life has made her more sensitive to her core, especially to cold, to pressure, to anything that feels abrupt on the body.

“As a new mom,” she added, “I’d love styles with a longer, more supportive waistband, something that keeps my core warm while it recovers.”

Listening to Hanna made one thing clear: postpartum movement isn’t about “bouncing back.” It’s about being held, gently, while moving forward.

Candis: Comfort That Carries Through the Day

Candis came to the event straight from a full week of meetings. She’s a real estate entrepreneur, used to long days and constant decisions, and she treats movement as a way to protect her balance.
Everleaf was new to her, but her reaction was immediate.

“Your collection is so comfortable and flattering,” she said. “Absolute pleasure meeting you all.”

She talked about how the lines of the pieces caught her attention: subtle, intentional, refined. Clothes that feel considered, not loud.
Then she mentioned something practical. In real life, she rarely goes straight from workout to home.

“I’d love to see more mix-and-match styles,” she said, “maybe even outerwear for layering.”

For women like Candis, activewear doesn’t live only in the studio. It moves through the day with them.

What We Took With Us

When the class ended, no one rushed out. People lingered. Stretching turned into conversation. Coffee cups stayed in hands a little longer.
Someone quietly said something that felt right for the day:
Thank your body. It carried you through something beautiful.
That stayed with us.

Moving Forward

This wasn’t meant to be a one-off moment. It was part of an ongoing rhythm: creating space for movement, connection, and real life. More gatherings will come. Different places. Different people. Same intention.
